Surfed on over to Adrian Warnock's blog and read his latest entry, an entry titled Are Bloggers Mentally Ill?
I agree with Dr. Warnock when he says:
Personally I think there are too few opportunities for us to discuss our personal beliefts, feelings, thoughts, and fears in an open way.
Dr. Warnock linked to One Hand Clapping so, naturally, I surfed on over.
One Hand Clapping, in his "Bloggers are mentally ill" entry linked to the May 27th New York Times article For Some, the Blogging Never Stops.
Indeed, if a blog is likened to a conversation between a writer and readers, bloggers like Mr. Wiggins are having conversations largely with themselves.
So what exactly is your point, Ms. Katie Hafner? Is there a problem here?
Richard Wiggins' reply: "I'm just getting something off my chest"
I couldn't have put it better.
The article links to jozjozjoz.com (Does fame make one's life complete? In 1999 I got mentioned on Radio Korea for being a Korean-American adolescent who wanted to commit seppuku...did my moment of fame complete my life? No. Fame does not make one's life complete)
and
http://www.tonypierce.com/blog/bloggy.htm nothing more than a prime example of the senseless jumble of bullsh*t that American society has become...though I must admit that Miss Malaysia is gorgeous
